A small (never larger than 201 people) convention devoted to serious literary consideration of fantasy, run from 1986 to 1992 and then again in 1994 and 1995 in Minneapolis MN. A 1996 Fourth Street was cancelled.

The two main features of the convention were the very high-quality single-track programming, and the 24-hour consuite. The design objective was for pretty much everybody to attend all the programming, and to then talk about it all night.

Fourth Street was started from scratch by a small group of local fans including Steven Brust, Will Shetterly, Emma Bull, and Martin Schafer. Despite its small size, it made a modest net profit over the course of its run. It also attracted members from both coasts, Canada, and occasionally overseas.
