The US Postal Service has a range of "service endorsements" which specify what to do with mail that can't be delivered as addressed. An organization that sends mail infrequently will want one of the two that notify the sender of the change; otherwise next time the new address may no longer be available to the sender and the recipient will be lost. Of these Return Service is less expensive even if you resend the mail after receipt. However, Change Service is faster if the mail is time sensitive.
