Sales is about the process of selling a membership. It goes hand in hand with Registration, the process of getting the member's data recorded.

Some fen avoid the term sales in some ways, prefering to encompass that function within the term registration, to emphasize the point that we are not selling tickets to an event to be passively attended; all members are expected to participate and contribute to the event in their own way.

Estimating and tracking projected membership sales is an important part of constructing and sticking to a budget.
