Contracts

Bruce, what about the contract between the artist and the Con/Art Show? What about incoming and outgoing receipt/invoice/packing slip? What financial terms should be spelled out there? And while we're at it, general responsibilities. Leave art at this place on that day, pick it up here, payment comes X days later from Mr Y, if you don't get it by end of month call Ms Z, etc.

I like how you hinted at the decision points the Con needs to think about when setting rules and policy. And of course explicitly stating the all important, Who Is Responsible. --Bill Taylor 15:08, 3 Nov 2005 (PST)

Re: "your convention should have a sales tax license it they sell memberships on site". Often not true. Depends on jurisdiction and how (or if) you distinguish membership from admission.

Contract between artist and show is covered in section on art show rules, which comes up soon (after section on forms). --Brucemoko 21:56, 4 Nov 2005 (PST)
