Consensus, in the case of ConRunner is two things.
First, it is about what is generally agreed upon by the contributors to an article. It isn't necessarily about majority voting, though it may be. It is more importantly about trying to acheive agreement as to what the key aspects of a topic may be.
Second, it is about defining the differences from that agreement, as seen by the various contributors. A dissenting opinion may certainly be given, provided it respectfully acknoledges the existence of other opinon. Rationale supporting the dissent will be required as well.
Consensus here does not conceal anything. Rather, it indicates the relevant points of view, their aspects of agreement and disagreement in a way that allows a new reader to a topic to understand the differing aspects of that topic. The new reader should come away with a full appreciation of the core and the nuances of the topic and their interrelationships, not simply a highly diluted Least Common Denominator.
