Smof

Smof --Secret Master of Fandom -- is a term used by some to refer to a person who runs SF conventions and does other fannish activies that keep the gears of the fannish community turning. If you think you are a smof, you probably are.

There are conventions about conrunning, such as Smofcon and Midwest Construction, where smofs get together to meta-smof. There are also discussion groups, such as the Smofs and Smofcon discussion lists.
